Cheryl is a warm and compassionate provisional psychologist currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Newcastle. She is committed to empowering clients by recognising and nurturing their innate strengths, and she values the therapeutic journey as a collaborative process.
Cheryl brings experience supporting children, adults, and families across diverse settings, including non-profit organisations and mental health services. She has also worked extensively with young adults in a military environment. Her professional interests include anxiety, mood-related difficulties, and adjustment-related challenges.
Cheryl adopts a client-centred, evidence-based approach to therapy. She draws from therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to tailor interventions that best meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
Cheryl is currently completing her final Masters in Clinical Psychology placement at The Hummingbird Centre, where she continues to develop her clinical skills.
